Booking Terms and Conditions

Abersoch Holiday Rentals is a trading name of Select Holiday Rentals who act as Agent for the Property Owner to take and arrange bookings on their behalf. All booking terms and conditions are therefore agreed between the holidaymaker and the Property Owner.

 

MAKING A BOOKING

 

Booking requests can be made by completing the online 'Booking Form'. A non-refundable deposit of 15% of the total holiday cost is required along with a non-refundable booking fee of £35. The remaining balance is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival along with a security deposit of £200. For short notice bookings where the booking is less than 8 weeks away then the full balance is payable immediately. Our preferred payment method is by bank transfer and details of how to make the initial payment will be advised by email. Alternatively we can accept card payments for the initial deposit payment via PayPal on request. We will hold the provisional booking for 24 hours pending receipt of the deposit, if payment is not received within this time the property will be released as available again.

 

All payments must be made in pounds sterling. Any bank charges incurred for receiving payments or refunding a security deposit for guests from overseas must be paid by the guest.

 

GUESTS

 

Strictly families and couples only, names of all guests must be advised on booking. The maximum number of guests the property can accommodate is stated on the property description and in no circumstances should this be exceeded. You must not sublet or share the property except with guests nominated when booking. We reserve the right to terminate a booking without refund, if more than the stated number of guests is found to be staying.

 

NO SMOKING

 

Strictly no smoking in any rental property.

 

KEYS & DIRECTIONS

 

Arrangements for keys and directions to the property will be sent to you after payment of the final balance is received. You will keep the location and access codes for key safes confidential and return keys to key safes at the end of your holiday period.

 

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

 

Arrival time no earlier than 5.00 pm on day of arrival. Departure time no later than 9.00 am on day of departure unless alternative times are shown on the property details or have been specifically agreed with Select Holiday Rentals or the property owner.

 

BED LINEN & TOWELS

 

See individual property details as to whether bed linen and/or towels are provided. 

 

For most properties duvets and pillows are provided - you must bring your own sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases, tea towels, bath and hand towels and beach towels. If you require bed linen and/or towels, then this service may be provided at an extra charge from an independent company upon enquiry through ourselves.

 

PETS

 

Pets are only permitted at certain properties as indicated on the website property details, and you will only be allowed to bring along your pet if you have advised of your intention to do so at the time of booking, and this has been agreed by us. A pet surcharge may apply and will be detailed on the property page. Pets are not allowed on any furniture or in any bedroom in a property and must not be left alone in the property at any time. All dog excrement must be picked up and disposed of accordingly. You will remain liable for any damage caused by your pet, and you are responsible for any additional cleaning costs if required.

 

SAFETY

 

Every effort has been made to indicate any possible safety hazards at the property, but guests are requested to check the property and grounds on arrival, especially guests with young children and note any potential hazards.

 

CHANGES & CANCELLATION

 

If you need to make any guest changes to your confirmed booking you must notify us by email (sue@selectholidayrentals.co.uk) as soon as possible. 

 

If you wish to cancel the booking you must advise us as soon as possible firstly by telephone (07586 859220) and confirm in writing by email or post. Please note in all cases the booking fee is non-refundable and the deposit payment or 15% of the holiday cost is non-refundable.

 

Cancellations received prior to 8 weeks (56 days) before the start date - no further payment is required.

 

Cancellations within the 8 weeks (56 days) before the start date - we will try to re-let the period, including if appropriate offering a discount for late booking. If successful a refund of 85% of the holiday cost paid, less any discount given for a late booking will be refunded. If we are not able to re-let the period, you will remain liable for the full holiday cost if not already paid.

 

Guests are advised to arrange cancellation insurance, this is not included in the rental and guests should make their own arrangements.

 

Should we have to cancel the booking due to Covid-19 government guidelines either in Wales or your home area preventing travel to the accommodation we would either offer alternative dates or refund the holiday cost, but please note the £35 booking fee is non-refundable. Should you have to cancel for any other reason our usual booking terms and conditions apply. 

 

We reserve the right to make changes to property descriptions on our website both before and after bookings have been confirmed. We also reserve the right to cancel confirmed bookings should the property become unavailable for whatever reason on the date booked. If we have to cancel your booking, we will notify you as soon as possible and we will endeavour to ensure that the property owner refunds to you all monies paid in advance. We will not be held liable for any alternative accommodation costs, expenses or losses incurred by you as a result of any such cancellation.

 

SECURITY DEPOSIT

 

The security deposit is required to cover any damage or breakages that require rectification during your stay or after your departure, and to cover any extra cleaning should the property be left in an unacceptable condition. 

 

The security deposit will be returned to you in sterling, by BACS transfer directly into a bank account nominated by you within 10 days after departure unless the property has been left in an unacceptable condition. Guests are requested to leave the property clean and tidy, and all furniture, furnishings, equipment, fixtures, and fittings to be left in the same condition as when they arrived. All rubbish must be removed and disposed of in the appropriate manner upon departure. Any cost for damage or excessive extra cleaning will be deducted from the security deposit. If costs exceed the security deposit amount held an invoice will be sent to you.

 

LOST PROPERTY

 

Should you leave any personal belongings behind please advise us as soon as possible. The cost to us for returning these items to you including postage and packaging will be deducted from the refundable security deposit. Where items have not been claimed within 30 days of departure, we reserve the right to dispose of these items as we think fit.

 

COMPLAINTS

 

In the event that you have cause for complaint or you experience any problems with the property during your stay you should contact us immediately by telephone (07586 859220), or the property owner should their details be available to you, so that we can endeavour to resolve the problem as soon as possible. In the event of failure to resolve a complaint the Agent reserves the right to advise both the guest and the Property Owner the other parties’ full details in order to resolve the problem directly.

 

DATA PROTECTION

 

Yours and all guest details including name, date of birth, address, email, and photo will be used to manage any booking, and may be shared with the property owner and Haulfryn, and to keep you informed of future offers. If you would prefer not to receive such updates, please let us know.

 

WEBSITE ACCURACY

 

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the website is up to date and accurate, we admit that errors can occur. We will not accept any liability arising out of changes of circumstances affecting the property between any booking date and the period covered by any booking by a guest.

 

LIABILITY

 

Neither we nor the property owners will be held responsible for any accidents arising from the use of equipment at the property, including any equipment provided for young children i.e. travel cot, bed guards, highchair, stairgate etc. It is the responsibility of the guest to ensure that they acquaint themselves with any equipment ensuring that it is safe to use for their child. 

 

THE PROPERTIES

 

Neither we nor the property owner are at all liable or responsible for the suitability of the property for your needs. Should you have any special requirements then you should inform us at the time of booking, and we can provide you with guidance on whether any property is suitable. We cannot guarantee that any property has been pet free.

 

We are not responsible for any works being carried out around or in the vicinity of the property or for any noise or nuisance which are outside our control or any changes or closures to local amenities.

 

Neither the owner nor us will be liable to you or any member of your party or person visiting the property during the period of your hire for any events outside the owner’s or our reasonable control, such as the breakdown of domestic appliances, plumbing, wiring, temporary invasion of pests, building works at adjacent properties, damage resulting from exceptional weather conditions or interruption to services or utilities.

 

Neither the owner nor us will be liable to you for the withdrawal or removal of any facilities or amenities from the property resulting from any circumstances beyond our control.

 

Where Wi-Fi is an advertised facility, please note that its provision is subject to availability and network conditions. It may not be available 24 hours a day and is provided for pleasure not for business purposes.

 

Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly common, we want to ensure they can be catered for wherever possible. Not all properties will have a suitable and safe place to charge vehicles, so it is recommended you check prior to finalising your booking if this is an essential requirement. If you are keeping an electric vehicle at the property, you must use designated charging points only, where available, and manufacturer approved cables for charging any vehicle when at the property. The owner reserves the right to charge additional fees if charging is in our or the owner’s opinion excessive and/or refuse to the allow electric vehicles to be charged if they do not think it is suitable or safe to do so.

 

Any damage to the electric system at the property through incorrect use, overload of the system, or the use of a standard extension cable will be your responsibility. Should damage occur the costs of repair are your responsibility.
